Peach Care Services i celebrating 3 years of providing exceptional care! We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our dedicated staff, valued clients and their families, social workers, district nurses, General Practitioners, and all stakeholders who have contributed to our success. We couldn’t have done it without you!
We have ambitious plans to expand our services beyond Milton Keynes and Oxfordshire, with the goal of providing care across the country.
As part of our 3rd anniversary, we invited staff and clients to the office for a sneak peek at our exciting plans and to enjoy some celebratory cake!

LATEST IN CARE NEWS...
Tuesday, February 25, was a pivotal moment for social care. Making Space joined thousands at the Providers Unite Day of Action in Westminster to advocate for vital social care reform, raise awareness of its economic and societal value, and demand better funding.
On 25 February 2025, we stood at a critical crossroads for social care in our communities. Thousands of care and support providers, some accompanied by care recipients, participated in a coordinated Day of Action centred in Westminster and simultaneously from multiple locations around the country.
The Providers Unite Picnic was more than just a date on the calendar; it was a call to action, a moment to recognise, affirm and value the essential role of social care in our society.
Millions of individuals, carers, service users, families, and communities depend on a system that has long been undervalued and underfunded. This must change to ensure we have a system that is fit for the future.
We are integral to the care and health offer alongside the NHS and Local Government partners.
However, since the late 1980s, successive governments have ignored social care and provided inadequate investment to meet millions’ demand for safe and happy lives. It’s time for real change.
As part of our #ValueSocialCare campaign, we are calling on the government to engage in a meaningful dialogue with us about the impact of the October 2024 measures, alongside urgent reforms to ensure fair pay, better working conditions, and sustainable investment in care services.
1.6 million social care and support workers provide essential support to some of the most vulnerable people in our communities, yet their contributions often go unnoticed and unrewarded.
Why Providers Unite created the 25 Feb Day of Action:
To explain to the central government that Social Care deserves Recognition & Respect. Social care is essential to our society, ensuring dignity and independence for those in need. It is time for policymakers to acknowledge its actual value.
To call for Fair Pay for Social Care Workers Now! Our incredible social care workforce deserves the fair pay and recognition they have long been denied. With 5.8% of the working population dedicated to social care – more than in the NHS, it’s time their wages reflect their skill, dedication, and the essential nature of their work. These professionals are the backbone of our communities, yet they are still treated as second-class workers.
To highlight the need for Sustainable Funding for Community Care and Support Services. Millions rely on community care and support services daily, but these essential services are at risk without proper investment. Rising costs and changes to Employers’ National Insurance contributions threaten access to quality care for countless individuals. We cannot let vulnerable people be left without support.

Policy Statement
This policy describes Peach Care Services’ approach to situations in which mistakes might have occurred in administering medicines to people for whom Peach Care Services has agreed and accepted responsibility.
The service’s medicines policies aim to ensure medicines are given safely and in the prescribed manner. This policy applies to occasional failures to follow agreed procedures or accidental mistakes. The further object is to learn from any mistake so that it does not recur.
The policy is written in accordance with the requirements of the applicable legislation governing medicines, national health and social care standards, and best practice guidance issued by the National Institute for Clinical and Health Excellence (NICE) for medicines administration in care homes and community settings, The Royal Pharmaceutical Society, and NHS bodies.

We’re Growing our Team!
As many of you know, we have been seeking a new Care Coordinator to join our management team. Over the past two months, we have interviewed several excellent candidates for the role, and we can now announce that we have officially hired a new Care Coordinator!
She is due to start this March, and we believe she will be an excellent fit for our team! We will introduce her to the team and clients when she officially takes on her new position with us.

WE ARE UP FOR AN AWARD
It’s time for Elvis to dust off his tuxedo! He has been nominated for SME MK and Bucks Business Person of the Year!
The award has been shortlisted, and we’re pleased to announce that he has made the cut! He and the rest of the management staff will join all the other lucky nominees at an awards ceremony at the end of March.
We’ll keep you updated on how he gets on.

PEACH NEWS: WHAT WE'VE BEEN UP TO THIS MONTH
It’s been another exciting month here at Peach and a busy start to 2025!
We are still updating our Activity Centre. We have had some exciting deliveries over the past couple of weeks!
Some of our clients have had the chance to experience some of our new activities, and we can’t wait for the centre to be finished very soon!
Remember, the centre is bookable for all clients. If you or someone you know would like more information on what we offer, contact the office!
CHARITY OF THE MONTH
Peach Care’s 2025 goal is to give back to the community by fundraising for national and local charities that are important to staff and clients.
The year’s fundraising will kick off with Comic Relief. On Friday, March 21st, staff are encouraged to wear pyjamas to work and raise money for the charity.

HEALTH AND WELL BEING CORNER...
Peach is committed to the health and well-being of both our staff and clients. This dedicated space will provide regular updates, resources, and information on various health and wellness topics.
This Month we’re focusing on Sleep.
We all know how important a good night’s sleep can be and how lousy we can feel the next day if we’ve had a bad night’s sleep.
But did you know that bad quality of sleep is detrimental for your health! People who consistently have a bad sleep pattern are more at risk of diseases such as heart disease, diabetes, strokes and Alzheimer’s.
British Heart Foundation have written an article which gives you 10 top tips and tricks to getting the best night sleep and get you fueled for the days and weeks ahead.
